Beachwood testing solar, wind powered lights in park; could result in savings if used on city streets

With some help from Mother Nature, Beachwood may find a way to reduce its energy bills and increase service to residents. The city is now testing two light poles at Beachwood City Park East, off Shaker Boulevard East, to determine if the solar and wind power used to energize those lights can be used to illuminate streets.
