China Wind Power Capacity Jumps to Record High

China's National Energy Administration says the country's installed wind power capacity jumped to a record high of 19.81 million kilowatts last year as the country tries to dramatically switch its power grid to cleaner energy sources. The administration also said Thursday that wind power generated 153.4 billion kilowatt hours of electric power in 2014, making up 2.8 percent of total generated electricity.
